Customers, staff and trustees of the Vaughan Public Library Board joined us for balloons, cake and refreshments on March 26 to celebrate the reopening of Ansley Grove Library, 350 Ansley Grove Road.

Ansley Grove Library’s renovations included amalgamating the two Service Desks into one, which offers a central service point for those of you seeking information, reference service or assistance from staff.

As you walk around the library you will see that lots of new pieces of merchandising furniture have been added. There are so many wonderful collections in the library that sometimes you may not know what you want to borrow, or all that Vaughan Public Libraries (VPL) has to offer. These units will display popular items and collections based on different themes to help make your browsing experience easier.

On the wall to your right as you enter the library there is lots of information posted to let you know What’sOn at the Library along a vast array of library materials for you to choose from and a new indoor book return.

The self check out station is now located at the front of the library, making it easy to check out your own library items. Last but not least, we have added beautiful new carpeting in the library to give it a fresh new look.

The renovations that have been completed are in accordance with VPL’s Strategic Plan, Empower People, Inspire Opportunities, Build Communities, 2013-2015 which identifies VPL’s commitment to enhancing library space, creating welcoming environments that become exciting and vibrant destinations that appeal to customers of all ages.
