  1. I’m about 200 pages into this book right now. Harold has walked far enough that he’s made it to parts of England I’ve actually visited, which is a nice treat!

I’m really enjoying this book. Harold feels, at first, like he’s going to be a fairly detestable character. He’s got no confidence, he’s got a lot of regret, he’s essentially estranged from everyone – his wife, his son, even himself. However, once he starts out on his heroic quest to walk from his home in the extreme south of England to the very north, all to somehow save a cancer patient’s life, I find myself thoroughly engaged, and really wishing him well on his journey. It doesn’t seem possible that his quest can be successful, but I really hope it is!

  2. Wish him well to on this journey. His character is resilient even though he is experiencing emotional turbulence. Hope other readers enjoy this character.
