Wednesdays at the Movies

Dufferin Clark’s Wednesday At the Movies programming continues! Every other Wednesday evening, starting at 6:30 pm, we will screen a movie and offer juice and popcorn to snack on. We hope to see you there!

The supervillain Megamind finally defeats his nemesis, the superhero Metro Man. But without a hero, he loses all purpose and must find new meaning to his life.

 

 

 

 

 

May 9 – High School Musical 2 (G – General)

Good-bye, classroom! Hello, summer! But for Troy, Gabriella, Chad, and Taylor, this vacation is no day at the beach. That’s because they’re all working at a country club founded by Ryan and Sharpay’s family! And with the club’s annual talent show right around the corner things are heating up on the lawns of high society. Will Troy and Gabriella realize that they’re meant to be? Or is it already too late for them to sing one last song together?

February 15 – Up (PG – Parental Guidance)

78 year old balloon salesman Carl Fredricksen finally fulfills his lifelong dream of a great adventure when he ties thousands to his house and flies away to the wilds ofSouth America. But he discovers all too late that his biggest nightmare has stowed away on the trip: an overly optimistic 9 year old Wilderness Explorer named Russell.                                                                                     

 

 

February 29 – Akeelah and the Bee (PG – Parental Guidance)

Akeelah is a precocious eleven year old who, despite the objections of her mother, enters various spelling contests for which she is tutored by the forthright Dr. Larabee. Her aptitude earns her an opportunity to compete for a spot in the Scripps National Spelling Bee and this unites her neighborhood who witness the courage and inspiration of one amazing little girl.
