You may have heard the interview on CBC with Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish, a Palestinian doctor who suffered family tragedy while living in Palestine.  This is the biography of  a bright Palestinian man who rose from poverty and struggle, ultimately receiving scholarships and grants to become a well respected doctor in Israel and the rest of the world.  He gives the reader an insight into the daily tensions between the Israelis and Palestinians, living conditions in Palestine,  issues of governance, land ownership and regional peace.
