This week at Pleasant Ridge Library, workers continue to install the drywall, the glass and glazing framing. The duct work, plumbing and piping insulation wrapping as well as the framing of the soffit are in progress.

This week at Pleasant Ridge Library, the drywall installation continues, the exterior glass window framing and glass are being installed both on the side of the building and on the high wall section. As of this week, the roofing work has been completed, the installation of drywall continues, and the window frames are being installed.

Renovations continue at Kleinburg Library.The overhang framing for the main entrance and the east entrance is in progress. The stairwell to the basement has been demolished in preparation for sealing off the entrance way. The floor and roof reinforcement throughout the library has been completed.

Great news! The construction phase of the new resource library has started.
As of this week, the window frames have been installed and drywall installation is in progress. The directional boring for the electric conduit has been completed and the electric room is ready for floor cutting.

As of this week, the window frames have been delivered on site, the roofing membrane installation is in progress, the window openings are being tarped and more are still happening. Here is a quick photo update.
Pierre Berton Resource Library’s new Teen Lounge is almost ready to open! The seats and the tables have been installed, we are just waiting for some final millwork to be done. Soon, teens will be able to enjoy this great new space just for them.

Renovations at the Kleinburg Library are well under way. The library’s collections, as well as its furniture and equipment, were all moved to storage and the builders are on site. As of this week, the covered concrete steps to the lower level at the front of the library have been removed. The fire and emergency stairs and the roof ladder on the north side of the building have also been removed. The ceilings have been exposed to allow access to electrical cabling and some work has been done on the floors to provide access to the plumbing. Finally, a dividing wall at the end of the basement corridor has been removed to make way for a new entrance that will provide access to the lower floor of the library from the exterior on the east side.

As of this week, all masonry work has been completed. Roof insulation and HVAC roof top units are being installed. Installation for the curtain wall frame and the directional boarding for electric secondary service feed are in progress.
