Two windows at Woodbridge Library have been covered with vibrant images, approximately 10 feet tall by 5 feet wide, depicting people using the library. Made of micro perforated vinyl, the window coverings allow for one-way vision from the inside.
Check out the windows on the east side of the Civic Centre Resource Library! Eight windows have been covered with images, approximately 10 feet tall by 5 feet wide, depicting the many individuals who use the library and its resources.
Made of micro perforated vinyl, the window coverings allow for one-way vision from the inside. All images also have a silver filter to blend with the building and enhance the modern appearance.
Vaughan Public Libraries (VPL) extends a special thank-you to Mr. John Senisi, an art teacher at the St. Jean de Brebeuf Catholic High School, and his grade 9 and 10 art classes who created a public art collage on the hoarding fence of the current construction site of the new Vellore Village South Library.
Using wall paint and sharpies, each student was responsible for one colour in the collage using rough circle shapes with the allowance for some drips and such. The students then worked with their circles using the sharpies and created whimsical detail images. The concept is based on works by HENSE and Ed Emberley.
Exciting times continue at Vaughan Public Libraries (VPL). On June 20, 2017, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the PwC-YMCA Tower, which includes a new library!!
