Join Ontario’s chief archaeologist Bill Finlayson and learn about the archeology of Vaughan's Patterson Village.
Chief Archaeologist, Dr. William Finlayson, of the Province of Ontario will speak about the Archaeological dig that was done on the lands that the Upper Thornhill Estates now stand on.  This was once the home to Patterson Village and a complete stage 4 Archaeological dig was done on these lands. The Patterson Bros. were manufacturing farm equipment, and were very successful.  He will be speaking about the Archaeology of Patterson Village, which was a thriving village from the 1850's into the 1880's.
