Volunteer Opportunities

If you’re interested in volunteering and helping out during these difficult times, check out some of these volunteer opportunities. Some of the organizations are asking for support specifically for the COVID-19 pandemic, so please note that some positions allow you to work from home, while others may need in-person support.

Volunteer Opportunities

Chess Club Volunteer Opportunity

Chess Club is returning to in-person play this fall at Dufferin Clark (Tuesday evenings), Maple (Thursday evenings), and Vellore Village (Saturday afternoons) branches. Teen Chess Club volunteers work with participating children to instruct in playing chess or improving their game. Our Chess Club volunteers are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Chess.

Chess Club runs in association with local non-profit Chess in the Library and volunteers apply through them.

Select New Volunteers Form at the link if you have never volunteered with Chess in the Library before: Apply for Chess Club on external site.
