    Bookfest features a variety of workshops, activities and author events.

    Agenda:
     - 1:15 pm – In Conversation with Vincent Lam: Join Giller-prize winning author and physician Vincent Lam as he discusses his new book, On the Ravine, which explores the opioid crisis and questions how far a doctor is willing to go to save a life. Attend in person at Civic Centre Resource Library or register to attend virtually over Zoom: Vincent Lam Registration.
     - 2:15 pm – Kids Writing Workshop with Joel Sutherland: Author Joel Sutherland, of the Haunted Canada series, teaches us the nuts and bolts of the entire writing process — from brainstorming ideas to shaping them on paper, right through to hosting your own book launch. For grades 3+. $5 per participant. Register here for the Children’s Writing Workshop with Joel Sutherland.
     - 2:30 – 4:00 pm:
