McMichael Art Challenge, Youth Workshop
Theme: Swirling Spaces, Emily Carr Inspirations
Medium: Chalk & oil pastels
Challenge duration: 20 minutes
Times:6:30 & 7:20 PM

Challenge yourself with this creative pastel drawing competition inspired by two works of Emily Carr from the McMichael Canadian Art Collections.
The artworks evaluation will be based on the following criteria:
• Creativity in approach to the theme
• Success of composition/design
• Explorative use of pastel medium

One to three works per each session will be recognized by the jury and awarded a special prize.
