Art in the Holocaust
  • Presenter Josh Hacker, Associate Director at Yad Vashem, discusses the significance of art in the Holocaust. We will take a closer look at this artwork which stands as testimony to the strength of the human spirit.

The artworks from Yad Vashem's collection reflect the tension between the artists' need to document the terrible events they endured and their desire to break free through art, and escape into the realms of beauty, imagination, and faith. These artworks stand as testimony to the strength of the human spirit that refuses to surrender.

The Art in the Holocaust display, from Yad Vashem's Art Collection, will be available for viewing at the Bathurst Clark Resource Library November 1 - November 30th.
