Passport to Vaughan: Lunar New Year Food
  • Why do we eat the foods we eat during Lunar New Year? Learn about this tradition and how to make spring rolls & mochi! All are welcome. Registration is $7 on Eventbrite.

This program will be an interactive demo, presented by Beryl Wong. Children are welcome to attend with an adult. All individuals planning to be inside the kitchen during the program must be registered as a participant.

Spring rolls will include pork. Chinese mochi will have red bean & black sesame fillings.

Beryl has taught Chinese cooking classes for adults with different school boards over the years. Now in her retirement, she loves to share her love of cooking Chinese food with the community!

The room capacity is limited. All individuals planning to be inside the kitchen during the program must be registered as a participant. This includes any adult accompanying a child. Please contact the VMC service desk if you have questions.

We are a nut-aware space and do not use nuts in our programming, but we cannot guarantee a nut-free facility. Please alert us of any allergies when registering on Eventbrite. Our kitchen programs are held in the VSES Teaching Kitchen, located on the third floor.
