Thanks to funding from TD Bank Group, WSN is offering Helpful Relationships workshops series for diverse youth of all genders age 15-19. Helpful Relationships is a community program for young people of all genders, and most specifically targeting marginalized youth and youth with limited social supports. In Canada, young populations are at the highest statistical risk of experiencing sexual violence. When it comes to all forms of gender-based violence, 2SLGBTQ+ youth are significantly impacted: more than one-third of trans youth age 14-18 share that they were physically threatened or injured in the past year. The Healthy Relationships workshop series is delivered within a youth-friendly and youth-safe space, and aims to equip youth with personal boundaries, self- awareness, empowerment, and essential relationship skills while also teaching them how to identify indicators of unhealthy and helpful relationships.
