    Schedule:

    10:00 am - 10:45 am: Creative Age: Orizomegami with VPL Staff. Registration required.

    Explore Orizomegami, a Japanese paper-dying technique that combines folding and vibrant dyes to create stained glass-inspired patterns. Tap into your creativity and design unique decorative papers in this relaxed program for adults/older adults seeking a creative escape.

    10:00 am - 1:00 pm: Diabetes screening with Vaughan Community Health Centre Diabetes Education Team. Drop in.

    Visit the VCHC expo table between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm to have a conversation about your risk factors for diabetes, including a blood sugar screening.

    10:45 am - 11:15 am: Indigenous Drumming Performance with Jared BigCanoe

    11:30 am - 12:15 pm: Stroke Awareness with Mackenzie Health District Stroke Centre. Registration required.

    Learn about the risk factors leading to strokes, how to identify a stroke taking place, and other important facts in this presentation from the Mackenzie Health District Stroke Centre.

    12:15 pm - 12:30 pm: Rec Stretch with the City of Vaughan

    12:30 pm - 1:15 pm: Building Resilience presented by CHATS. Registration required.

    Learn why resilience is so important in these challenging times, how to build resilience, and the benefits we can reap on our journey towards wellness.

    1:30 pm - 2:00 pm: Indigenous Drumming Performance with Jared BigCanoe

    2:15 pm - 3:00 pm: Aging Well: Should I Stay or Should I Go? Presented by Jayne Culbert, Age-friendly Peterborough Coordinator, City of Peterborough. Registration required.

    You may be facing some challenges living in your home. You may be wondering, "should I stay in my home or is this the time to move into senior community living?" Our decision tool will help you think about the right place for you, what support is available to help you age in place, and some different housing models.
